OVERVOLTAGE LIMITER AXON-RS485/DIN RS-485 SYMMETRIC LINE

The AXON-RS485/DIN surge arrester is designed to overvoltage protection of electronic devices working in CCTV cameras control systems based on RS-485 transmission or its varieties with voltage lower than 5V. The AXON-RS485/DIN is equipped with the protective elements which limit the overvoltages appearing between transmission lines and PE wire and also carrying away the discharge current to the ground. The device has also the elements limiting the dangerous voltage may occur between the lines.

Due to it, the AXON-RS485/DIN provides wide-range protection of the connected devices. AXON-RS485/DIN is designed to mount on the DIN 35 mm rail. Screw terminals are used as connecting elements. The A, B terminals are used for connection the protecting transmission lines, the third terminal can be use by installer to connect the signal ground. The grounding cable is led out, connected directly to the housing and terminated with fork end. The device is an asymmetric protector. The transmission line is connected to "Line" terminals and the protected equipment to "Equip" connector. The condition of correct protection is connecting the AXON-RS485/DIN device to the proper grounding or PE wire.
