The automation module, also called ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch), is used to automatically switch the power supply between the electrical network and the generator. In the event of a power failure or voltage drop in the mains, the module starts the generator and switches to power from the generator. After the power supply returns from the mains, it is switched to the mains power supply path and the generator is turned off.
