Audio signals transmission via twisted-pair cable has the advantage over coaxial cable, because signals are transmitted differentially, what cancel out any interferences. For the audio signal is the galvanic separation and the device adapts 600Ω signal impedance to twisted pair cable impedance, what guarantees audio signal transmission up to 1200 meters.

Two devices must be used to build a complete channel for signal transmission.
