Passive infrared sensor for mounting in an Ø60mm electrical box. The detector is intended for automatic control of switching on of the lighting outside a building (or other electrical devices) after detection of motion nearby its installation site. The core of the device is the passive infrared sensor with the motion detection angle amounting to about 160 degrees. The motion is detected via measurement of the ambient temperature change within the set sensor's visibility sector, as a consequence of motion of the person who is present there.
When motion is detected by the PIR sensor, the lighting automatically turns on (or other electrical device controlled by the sensor) and stays on as long as the motion sensor detects the presence (movement) within the field of view. If no presence is detected within specific time (set by the user), the lighting (or other electrical device) is switched off automatically.
