Converter between serial transmission interfaces of standards USB and RS-485. Unit is powered straight from the USB port of the PC - doesn't require any external power source. Unit can be used to bi-directional transmission (half duplex) with 0 ... 115.2 kbit/s rate.

Interface ensures auto control of transmission direction on RS-485 lines. Fundamentally, interface has been designed and tested to communication with access control system devices of RACS (Roger) type, but it can be also use to other applications, where there is a need of the USB-RS485 signals conversion.
