OVERVOLTAGE LIMITER AXON-VIDEO/TWIST-4

The AXON-VIDEO/TWIST-4 is designed to overvoltage protection of analog cameras and DVRs with analog signal inputs in CCTV systems, which use twisted-pair cable to video signal transmission.

The device is extended protective element with two-level protection. First level uses high current gas protective elements and limits the overvoltages between transmission line and PE wire by carrying away the discharge current to the ground. Second level uses high speed semiconductor elements, which eliminates the overvoltages between wires in transmission line.

The AXON-VIDEO/TWIST-4 is equipped with metal shielding housing. Removable screw terminals are used as connecting elements. The "100 Ω" terminals are used to connection the protecting pair of wires from twisted-pair cable, and the third terminal can be used by installator as signal ground or to cable shield connection for FTP cables. Additional terminal is not pre-connected to the ground. The grounding cable is led out, connected directly to the housing and terminated with fork end.

The device is an asymmetric protector. The transmission line is connected to the "Line" terminals, and the protected device to "Device" connector. Please note, the condition of correct protection is connecting the device to the proper grounding or PE wire.
